IMPORTANCE OF MASS MEDIA
We are living in the mass media world where different types of mass medium are playing their important roles in influencing, persuading, and motivating the lives of people.
We can easily promote anything via these various types of modern means of communication i.e. TV, cell phones, internet, magazines, stories etc. anything means that we can promote sports, entertainment, culture, education, religion etc. through mass media.
Example of PORN INDUSTRY PROGRESS
For example if we look at porn industries, every one of us is very well aware of that, in spite of its bad credibility and bad value in our society, our youth is indulging in such a bad curse. The ratio of people watching porn is increasing day by day, where area doesn’t matter(Europe, Africa, Asia, America).here some questions comes in our mind that why the number of porn viewers is increasing day by day, why this is industry is rising and how is it progressing at such an impressive speed ?
Answer to such type of questions is very easy i.e. PORN INDUSTRY is the business and to promote their business at mass level, they embedded their roots in public by using modern ways of communication. They always adopt new mass mediums since the beginning of this industry.
· USE OF PRINT MEDIA BY PORN INDUSTRY
In start when print media becomes common and the cheapest medium, this industry starts their magazines and promotes PORN with the help of the stuff and material inside these magazines including stories and pictures.
· USE OF TV BY PORN INDUSTRY
When TV becomes the common medium and was in the approach of everybody this industry took another step, it start making movies and different channels for their purpose and earn lots of money through their subscribers and registered members.
· USE OF INTERNET BY PORN INDUSTRY
And now in this modern era, internet has made its importance as the backbone of the world’s best communication. Internet also made this world as the global village. Porn industry has uncountable porn websites on the internet, which is increasing day by day along with the increment in the number of its viewers, registered members and subscribers.
PROMOTION OF ISLAM THROUGH MASS MEDIA
Up to now we have discussed that how we can promote anything with the help of modern ways of communication. Now we will look that how can we promote Islam with the help of mass media?
The term of religion is not enough for understanding word ‘’Islam’’ because Islam is the complete system which tells us the excellent ways of living, so in that case we should have to give importance to promote it at mass level, if we want our society to be safe from such bad contamination.
WAYS OF PROMOTION
We can easily spread the message of Islam by making different programs, movies, dramas, websites, literature etc. during the project of these promotions we should not have to worry about the feedback from the public, because if the PORN INDUSTRY can anchor its roots gradually in every society, by using mass media, then why our work will not affect the people. These types of steps are always appreciated by the public and a positive response from them.
HURDLES
Actually the main barriers in promoting Islam with modern media is ‘’MOLVI ISM’’ in which our illiterate so called ULEMAS (who should not be called as ULEMAS) continuously start throwing FATWA`S on these mediums of communication i.e. its haram.
This act of our religious scholars not only gives bad impression of Islam in foreign societies but also is deeply affecting our young generation. These types of scholars are also becoming a basic cause for the diversion of our young generation from ISLAM. Another cause of diversion is that Islam is not reaching to them in simple and easy ways. Young generation actually thinks that if their religious scholars are fighting rigorously with each other just on the basis of different ‘’SACTS’’, then how can they change the society by delivering the teachings of Islam or how can they inspire anybody else if they are so narrow mind, because of creating boundaries for Islam and just limited the Islam in prayers, neglecting the other aspects of Islam.
CONCLUSION
These types of problems can easily be solved when the true image of Islam is shown at MASS LEVEL to MASS PUBLIC through MASS MEDIA. If we start working on this type of project then we can easily observe a clear change among our society which will help us and guide us to follow those golden ideas, rules and past experiences from our great Islamic history.
